Fun with Family

(The photos above were taken by Cody's Aunt Marie.)

We had such a wonderful time with Heather, Jay and Miko when they came to visit us the last week of July. The last time we saw them was in November Miko was almost starting to crawl. This time Miko was talking and walking everywhere. It was fun to watch the kids play together. Miko is getting so big and saying so many new words. I love my little red-headed niece! My mom and dad came out to see us in the middle of August and we had a great visit with them as well. The kids loved playing with Grandpa and Grandma Bowler. Thank you so much for coming out to see us. We love you all!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Abigail!!

We celebrated Abigail's 2nd birthday on July 26th!! It's hard to believe that my baby girl is a big 2 year old! Abigail loved having everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to her and she had fun opening presents. Of course Samuel was more than willing to help his sister open her presents. Laurie made a cute dog cake which was very yummy.

It amazes me how quickly Abigail has changed over the past two years. She is saying so many words! And she is saying a lot of phrases. When she wants me to pick her up she says, "I hold you." :) It melts my heart every time. When she sits on my lap and we read together she still likes to suck her thumb and play with my hair with her other hand. She is my little cuddle bug. She is also very gentle with Humility and likes to help me pick out what she will wear every day. She likes to point to different parts of her body and name her eyes, nose, mouth, etc. She loves to have her mommy time, but she is also independent. She wants to put on her clothes and shoes all by herself. Another favorite phrase she says is, "I do it." It is amazing to watch her learn how to do things on her own. She is also very smart and tell me things that happened in a movie that we just watched. I'm sure she learns a lot from playing with her big brother. She is Samuel's biggest fan. She is always willing to join in whatever new game he has thought up. When Samuel brings out his guitar she is always ready to dance. And she is ready to say "cheese" when someone wants to take her picture. And she likes to say "hi" to strangers when we go for a walk. Abigail brings so much joy to my life and makes me smile everyday. Each of my children is such a precious gift from God. I never could have dreamed up a better life than this.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
